Sip and Sound is a new series of sound and tasting meditations at the beautiful StoneRidge Orchard. Come and bask in the healing shade of the Orchard's magical giant oak tree on the hill. Guided by longtime sound practitioner, Katie Down and special guests for each date including Samer Ghadry, Elana Bell, Ben Brown, and Joule L'Adara.
Join Samer and Katie on Saturday, August 26th under the large oak tree on the hill for a 90-minute sound meditation focusing on deep listening practices, breath, and a journey of gongs, Tibetan bowls, crystal bowls, monochords, flutes, and other resonant instruments.
The experience is enhanced with essential oils, guided visualization, and communal vocal toning to ground our energies and connect. Afterwards, we will gather in the tasting room for cider flights, kombucha, and light fare.
All ages welcome. $35 exchange includes the sound meditation and cider tasting.
The event is weather-dependent as it is outdoors. Refunds provided if it rains.
Please bring your own yoga mat and blanket. Some extra mats and blankets will be available as well as eye masks.

Katie Down, LCAT, MT-BC is a sound artist, composer, music psychotherapist, Reiki practitioner, and professor of music therapy at SUNY New Paltz. Katie's work stems from the idea that we are all musical and indeed, the embodiment of music and sound. Sound meditation and deep listening to and with our immediate environment facilitates a unique and profound relationship to each other, ourselves, and the world by helping to balance our nervous system, shift conscious states, and enable a flow state through Deep Listening.
